Times they are a changin’
Hi again! I haven’t been able to write in a while since there was so much going on. I even wasn’t sure how appropriate it was for me to blog at all due to my fluctuating job circumstances. I started a new position in equity and public health last year. Let’s just say…it didn’t work out. Luckily, I was able to come back to my old job (I’m very appreciative) and I started a new provisional role. Additionally, I am continuing to lead CSUF’s Ed.D. Alum Network and started consulting on evaluation projects with a public/behavioral health evaluation consulting group (hew!). Must keep doing the work that I am passionate about!
Support. I am learning so much and utilizing skills learned in my education. Most have been supportive and these people fill my cup. They helped me realize I am allowed to believe in myself and advocate for bettering the early childhood education and public health sectors.
*Patting myself on the back. My early childhood community, friends, and family have shown me to be proud of myself and celebrate my accomplishments and hard work. Too often, this is seen as showboating or maybe even rude, but you only have one life - might as well be happy and have fun.
